Do you have a story you want – or need – to tell? Do ideas for stories or other works of fiction or non-fiction dance in your head? Have you started stories you’d like to bring to fruition? Do you like the idea of writing but you don’t know where to start?
If so, sign up for Friday mornings of direction, encouragement, craft and conversation with other new and emerging writers, led by best-selling writer and editor Jacqueline Cote Burt.
This workshop will help take your impulse to write to the next level in a safe, nurturing atmosphere. We will examine elements of fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry to encourage the discovery of your own voice and skills, and experiment with writing exercises from across the genres that are fun, freeing and productive. This is a hands-on class, and each participant will have opportunities each week to share their work.
Appropriate for beginners and advanced beginners.
