Want to get away and write among your people? We get it! Join writer friends and the fabulous writer, poet and New York University professor April Krassner each Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 for open writing. Prompts provided, if you’d like. Otherwise, feel free to find a cozy spot and do your own thing. Published, unpublished, wannabes, queen bees—all are invited. All genres, too. (Even you content writers!)
Each week, you can share a piece with the group or cultivate an aura of mystery—the choice is yours. Either way, you will meet new writer friends, go home with new work, and look forward to the following Thursday. Open to writers of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and everything in between. All skill levels welcome.
April is a domestic and political poet interested in language and how it shapes experience. Her work has appeared in Poet Lore, Anderbo, Journey to Crone, an anthology of 80 women poets, and The Five-Two, among other publications. Her chapbook, “If It’s True,” will be available from Bottlecap Press in March. She’s smart, approachable and lots of fun!
