Note: This is for teenaged participants.
Whether you’re in a band or just have a song in your head or your heart, 13-time Emmy-Award-winning songwriter Andy “A.J.” Gundell can help you get your own song on the page. In this four-evening camp, A.J. takes students new to songwriting step-by-step through the process of writing a modern pop song. It doesn’t matter whether lyrics or chord progressions are your strength – A.J. meets you where you are and, during the week, helps you write a hook, verses for your chorus and a bridge.
While it is not a requirement, students are encouraged to bring in an instrument, if they have one, and to work on their songs at the studio. The four-session workshop culminates in a showcase highlighting new songs.
A.J. Gundell is a musician, composer, songwriter, teacher, producer and publisher.
