Helping Writers to Rise and Thrive

Play the ‘Field!

Have your One-Act Play Read to Writers and Theater-Lovers and Get Audience Feedback
Jason Cicci

Calling all playwrights: We’re accepting submissions now for “Play the ‘Field,” an afternoon of one-act plays read by actors, with audience feedback!!! If you have one-act plays (15-page maximum) that you’d like to hear and receive feedback on, we invite you to submit them. One-acts don’t have to be new material; they can be pieces people have enjoyed in the past that can be shared with a new audience. Led by our drama pro, Jason Cicci, and with input from Studio faculty, we’ll choose up to five plays for a fun, casual reading at the Studio’s awesome space on Sunday, June 9, from 2-4 p.m.

  • There is no fee to submit
  • Only two plays may be considered for per writer
  • Plays may not exceed 15 minutes
  • Plays must be received by the Studio by May 15, 2024
  • Email to submit your work. Put ‘Field in the subject line.

If selected, you may cast your piece yourself or we will find local readers for you. Play readings will be followed by a Q&A with feedback from actors, writers and theater-goers.

No worries if you’re coming in from New York. The Studio is one block from the Metro-North train station.
