Gigi New

GiGi New is a film and television writer who is currently developing a series with Oscar Award-winning producer Killer Films. Killer Films, a New York City-based independent film production company, has produced a number of the most acclaimed American independent films over the past two decades including Far From Heaven (nominated for four Academy Awards), Boys Don’t Cry (Academy Award winner), One Hour Photo, Kids, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Happiness, Velvet Goldmine, Safe, I Shot Andy Warhol, Swoon, I’m Not There (Academy Award nominated) and Kill Your Darlings. Killer Films executive-produced the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce featuring Kate Winslet and Guy Pearce which won win five Emmys, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Gigi recently developed an original television series for Matthew Broderick and her feature film script, Public Emily, is going into production in 2017.

She was a finalist for The Disney Fellowship, and began her career as an assistant on Everybody Loves Raymond. She quickly moved on to writing for the award-winning Nickelodeon family series The Brothers Garcia and the ground breaking FOX series The Ortegas.

Gigi lectures across the US and at colleges. Her guiding principal is to help writers of all levels realize the story within.
