Creative Writing

  • Wednesdays, Noon - 2 p.m., Beginning May 3, 2017
  • E.V. Legters
  • Seven weeks, $350

Many writers need input from each other to produce stellar stories. This workshop provides a vital safe space to share and nurture talents and skills. We will not only devote time to techniques that develop plot, character, setting and dialogue, but consider aspects of point-of-view, pacing, narrative arcs and anything of specific interest to you.

Attendees will respond to lively prompts, share work in progress, begin new work, and acquire significant and constructive feedback. You’ll leave each session a better writer eager to spend more time writing!

Designed for intermediate and advanced writers, and all forms of storytelling, including creative nonfiction.

Instructor Eve Legters’ stories have appeared in numerous journals, including Glimmer Train, Alaska Quarterly Review, and Calliope. Her novel Connected Underneath was released in April, and her next novel, Vanishing Point, will be released in May 2017. She holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College and has taught writing – fiction, non-fiction, poetry and drama – both publicly and privately for more than 10 years.
